Last Friday, before my trip to Perak, ibu told me that her fever is getting worse as she felt pain in her joints. I told ayah to take ibu for a blood test and on Sunday ibu had one at KPJ, it was confirmed that she has dengue fever. Monday morning went back for another blood test and this time Ibu has to be admitted. So, that's the story. As soon as she got her bed, she was put on drips and rest. So, for ibu stayed at the hospital for 2 nights as her condition didn't improve. Finally, yesterday evening, after numerous suggested remedies like crab soup, gamat juice etc, the doctor gave the green light to go home. Dr. Yap said that ibu's blood count has increased and according to the dengue fever trend, once the blood count has improved, it will continue to improve. You should have seen the look on her face when Dr. Yap told her that she could go home. But of course, like the admission process, the discharge procedures (there was a queue at the cashier) took quite some time too. Finally, at 9pm, we left the hospital for home.
