First Raya with Aina

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI, MAAF ZAHIR BATIN
Last raya, there were 5 of us, this year we celebated Aidilfitri with Aina.the feeling is just wonderful..
Probably it means nothing to Aina as she has been so cranky and a bit poorly lately as she is teething and coughing. One thing for sure she seems to enjoy the extra attention she's been getting from people around her.

hehehe: semua duit raya aina kat ibu

Somethings burning! gggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I was concentrating on my marking when suddenly I smell smoke. I peeked from the back window....nothing.
It was when I looked the front window I saw this,

hoih, what's this? Open burning? in a residential area?
By this time I was almost choked by the smell of the smoke. Immediately I went down, opened the door and checked. As I opened the door, the front was clouded with smoke. Then this is what I saw,

the source of it all! Billowing ( can I use this?)white smoke. Damn, stupid people.Don't you know when you burn wet grass you'll get so much smoke? Don't you know that you can't do open burning in a residential area? Some more when you are living in link homes. The Tadika Kemas lady was so 'selamba' in committing this offence. I shouted to her " Besar sangat api tu! Banyak asap ni ha!", and her reaction was? Nothing!!! Lucky for you the smoke hid you.

Aduih! Akai tak dak ka? Ni senja-senja orang nak rehat-rehat balik kerja, makan malam, nak solat maghrib, hang pulak bagi cemar udara. Ngok ngek.

So, is this enough to declare war against the yet opened tadika? We'll see....if things get bad to worse, get ready for WAR!

semoga selamat semuanya

Finally, after many months, the Teachers Club 'Laman Santai', teachers' lounge is finally 'usable'. The project took such a long time as the 2010 Committee had to fund the room ourselves.

We had a 'doa selamat' asking for the schools' well being as well as for ourselves. The same time was to 'officiate' the room and to pray for Kak Norlia, who will be performing 'haj' this year (she left on Saturday- have a safe journey and may you achieve Haji Mabrur). We also prayed for En Salleh's wife who was admitted to Hospital Ampang for some undetermined complications.

Prayers led by Ustaz Najmi (the one in the pink baju melayu)

The Chairman (in purple) giving a short speech welcoming and thanking those who attended
Kak Norlia (pink) receiving a token from the teachers club, presented by Ms GPK1

Sadly, no picture of the Nasi Dagang breakfast we had after that, thank you Mr Chairman.

What else could go wrong today?

The test- of- patience day

1.Due to a heart pouring session last night (that was until 2am), I was almost late to school. Unfortunately, we still couldn't have the formal assembly in the hall. So, assembly started at 7.20am, I arrived at 7.18, fuh...made it on time.

2.As I start to unload things from my car, I realized I left my school beg at home, argh! There was a document I need to return to the office and most importantly my pencil case. Lucky for me I got some pens in my handbag.

3.Was 'hunted' down by the boss regarding unsettled things for the Beijing trip. and because of that I only drank a cup of milo for breakfast. Gotta get moving cik pitah!!!!

4. The revision questions  for 2T's geography was not ready, so I had to read questions from the book and some of the girls were dozing off by the time I got to the 10th question.

5. Still haven't completed the F5 Paper 1 for mid-year, busy typing letters for Beijing

6.Went to 1C, 11 of them were sleeping in class! wah! wah! wah!, made the rest leave the class quietly, then I woke the sleepy lot up and was holding back laughter seeing them scrambling to get their books to go somewhere, when actually their classmates were just outside the classroom. Talk about panic! (tau takut!)

7. After 1C, went to canteen for lunch, took rice and gulai ikan sembilang...then a fish bone got stuck in  my throat! Its still there now despite all the effort made to remove it. tried eating 'nasi kepal', turning the plate  clockwise(canteen operators suggestion) before swallowing the rice, drank loads of water, ate bread, pulling ears (still can't see how this could work).

8. In the end, decided to go to the clinic, only to be turned down by two clinics (closing time)  and at the 3rd, the Dr couldn't see the bone. I tell you, it was so embarrassing la..the Dr said 'tak pe, tulang tu reput nanti dalam 3-4 hari (what!), sementara tu kenalah tahan sakit sikit, kadang-kadang tertanggal sendiri je bila you makan. Makan pain killer je la ye", that's all??

9. received bills from reader's digest and discovery channel magazine for subscription renewal. Hey, I did renew em last October! Owh that guy is sure gonna get it from me tomorrow.

10. And the last one, I still have to wear the darn mask at school and sanitize our hands every 10 minutes (haha I exaggerated)

Shoo..go away, there's nothing here

A few of the girls said they found my blog and
said how they 'enjoyed' reading it (they used another word for it).
Now I have to be careful not to really pour all my feelings here or I'll get into trouble.

Girls, there's not much to read here, go read other people's blog.
This is just a place for me to express what I feel unless you want to be the one I complain about.

whatever you read here, you comment here, not during class, ok?
For those who already left college, its ok though.

peace

Hard to come, easy to go.

I finally got what was owed to me. Despite  the long wait, I should be smiling from ear to ear but I was not. Its as if, I could only have the money in my hands for a few seconds before I have to part with em. Money, hard to come easy to go. However, I am grateful as I could made some purchase with em money.

After a visit from the whole family 2 weeks ago, I finally realized that I need to get a set of plates and bowls. All the miss-matched ones can no longer work, malu la..if have to serve family food in plastic bowls. So,  a quiet a big chunk was taken for that. Then 5 new baju kurung on the way. The first since last raya ( how I survived that I was amazed with myself- this means I have to get rid of the old ones, some are 10 years old tau). The car is making some weird noise, I guess I have to save some for that too. If things go well as planned, I would be in Beijing for 6 days in August and in Singapore for 4 days in July...definitely I need money for these trips. Huwaaa.

And of course, have to set aside for the horey-horey in June. Until then, I am refraining myself from making  big purchases. hehehe

Proudest Moment: 1st SZ Open House

This entry was supposed to be out 2 weeks ago, but biasalah, been very busy with things in school. The Open house was actually a suggestion made a reality by the Principal as an activity to support AAT. It was hard work however on the day of the event it was all worth it. Be proud of yourself, Zawiah because I was (still am) proud of all of you! You have proven that you have the SZ spirit all along!

ASPIRE FOR GLORY!

Here are some pictures taken from the hundreds available. Thanks to Ain for the lovely photos.

Why 'a gathering'?

It because it was the first time we met Pak Su after a month. My youngest bro has been AWOL for more than a month (this time). It was so difficult to get in touch of him. Apa projek Pak Su oiii?

So, when Pak Lang asked us to come to Bangi last Sunday, we took the opportunity to 'Jejak Kasih' with Pak Su. We met at Bangi Kopitiam. Budak tecik was asleep when we arrived, the moment she opened her eyes, she was so delighted to see her Pak Su. (pak su je kot yang tak rindu kat Humaira).

The thing is, we would be so angry (more irritated than angry) at him, but the moment we see him, we couldn't say much. It has always been like that as if he has put us under a charm. Well, that's the story of my 'chipsmore' brother. Too many broken promises, one day Dik, you will learn your lesson!

SBT/HPS

I was reading through some blogs and online discussions when the issue of SBT came up
One prominent opposition leader wrote about the 2009 SPM top achievers list was a slap on the face for the TPM's list of HSP and the issue that there were no HPS school from the east malaysia. It made me wonder,

1. Since when it was HIS list? He didn't choose, he announced.
2. Does everyone know the meaning of HPS? and the things the schools had to go through to achieve that status? The documentation....can't imagine
3. Do people understand the difference of high performing school and high performing students? One high performing student doesn't make a HPS.

just some thoughts...

and I'm sure its gonna bug me in my dreams tonight (or morning)....alaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The FINAL farewell

(malas nak rotate image)
My SE Z520i

Bought: Dec 2004
End of life: 15th March 2010

After a 5 years and 3 months, (can you believe it? the sales assistantce at Sony Ericsson didn't) it is finally the day to say goodbye to my oldest surviving and most reliable phone. She went through 3 repairs before finally, she couldn't hold on anymore. She didn't really went totally dead but, it was getting difficult when yesterday she can no longer make any sound. She was ok before noon, but after budak tecik played with it (and drooled all over her), suddenly...no more sound, speakers all went dead. Huwaaaaa.
Mid-February, after the 100th time I dropped her, she went blank, the screen went white and she went into 'treatment' for almost 2 weeks. It cost me RM650 for repairs (and a new phone). Got to use it for 10 days and finally...its time to say good bye to my old friend.
You have been such a loyal and reliable companion (and life saver) to me.
Hope you rest in peace in some recyling centre somewhere.
You shall be missed.
